Sculpture Workshop
For this third workshop of the year 2026 at Atelier Mimésis, join Bertrand Godefroy and Gabriel Schwaab for a torso modeling workshop, taking place from June 29 to July 3, 2026, in Florence.
This workshop offers participants an intensive immersion in the study of the sculpted torso, working from a live model. The focus will be on anatomy, volumes, rhythm, and the physical presence of the body, through an approach that is both sensitive and rigorous.
We will offer 6 hours of instruction per day, with attentive guidance and personalized feedback tailored to each participant’s level and objectives, in order to fully support their artistic development.

Stage de dessin et de sculpture d’après modèle vivant
J’ai le plaisir de co-animer, à Lausanne, dans l’atelier Artiloft, un workshop immersif consacré à l’étude du corps et du portrait, en collaboration avec mon ami Bertrand Godefroy. Pendant cinq jours, nous explorerons les liens entre regard, geste et matière : deux jours dédiés au dessin d’après modèle vivant pour affiner l’observation, les proportions et la compréhension des volumes, puis trois jours pour prolonger cette expérience en sculpture, en modelant un portrait dans la terre.
Ce stage s’adresse à toutes et tous, quel que soit le niveau de pratique, et invite à approfondir son expression artistique dans une atmosphère attentive, exigeante et inspirante.

This workshop offers participants an intensive immersion in the creation of a sculpted portrait, working from a live model. The focus will be on likeness, anatomy, structure, and expression, through an approach that is both sensitive and rigorous.
We will offer 6 hours of instruction per day, with attentive guidance and personalized feedback tailored to each participant’s level and objectives, in order to fully support their artistic development.
